UPPER BASE CAMP FISHING REPORT

REPORTING FOR THE WEEK OF JULY 31 TO AUGUST 7, 2021

WATER TEMP AND CLARITY
We had several days where the water temps topped out at sixty degrees!! By Friday it was 55 degrees and still gin clear.

WEATHER CONDITIONS
We had a little bit of everything this week, clear sunny days and swimming, strong winds gusting to 35mph and a little rain thrown in for good measure..

HOT FLY OF THE WEEK
We are still throwing the same stuff.

HIGHLIGHT OF THE WEEK
It was fun to get to know some new guests this week along with seeing a couple of our guests that have been fishing this same week for fifteen years.

WILDLIFE SPOTTED
We are still seeing bears almost daily. Many birds along the river including Bald Eagles, Mallards, Pintail, Wigeon, Green wing Teal, Canadian Geese, Tundra Swans, Mergansers, Common Loons, Sandhill Cranes, Arctic Terns, Long tail Jaegers, Glaucous winged Gulls, Bald Eagles, Ruffed Legged Hawks, Kestrels, Harlequin ducks, Osprey, Peregrine falcons, Golden crowned Sparrows, Swallows, Common snipe, Greater yellow leg, Ptarmigan, Ravens, and Crows.
