Mr. Peter Schwing chilling out after 4 weeks on the Kanektok this summer!!
WATER TEMPERATURE AND CLARITY:
Water temperature was in the low to mid 50’s and clarity was almost 5ft of clear visibility.
WEATHER CONDITIONS:
The weather stayed pretty consistently in the mid to high 50’s with cloud cover and some sun coming out for a couple brief moments.
HOT FLY OF THE WEEK:
For salmon the hot fly of the week was the Starlight Leach as well as the black and white dolly llama. Dollies are still hungry for the beads and Rainbows are hanging in the deep waiting for some flesh flies!
HIGHLIGHT OF THE WEEK:
Trout fishing really turned on this week all throughout the river but especially in the lower river where we caught some really nice trout! The Silvers are still coming in strong with good numbers being caught.
WILDLIFE SPOTTED:
Lots and lots of geese and ducks starting to migrate.
COMMENTS FOR THE WEEK:
Great week of guest and great fishing for Bows and Silvers! The river is really starting to come into shape, especially in the lower river where it has been pretty colored up most of the summer due to the rains. Lots of big beautiful colored up Dollies in the river!
