UPPER BASE CAMP FISHING REPORT
REPORTING FOR THE WEEK OF JULY 20 TO JULY 27

WATER TEMP AND CLARITY
The river is low and clear and at the beginning of the week it was 56 degrees. The air
temp was in the low seventies and I swam several days but by Friday it was 51 degrees
and the air temp was about the same.

WEATHER CONDITIONS
We had great weather this week until we had our first good rain for the season on
Thursday and Friday. It is hard to believe that we had seven weeks without more than a
isolated ten minute sprinkle. The river is very low and it will not hurt to have a little rain.
This rain will also help flush the Silver Salmon into the river!

HOT FLY OF THE WEEK
All the same flies are working and Peachy egg patterns are working well for trout and
Dollies.

HIGHLIGHT OF THE WEEK
The highlight for me was seeing old friends. Almost everyone in camp has been fishing
with us on this same week for many years! We saw lots bears and one wolf this week and
caught a ton of fish!!

QUOTE OF THE WEEK
