WATER TEMPERATURE AND CLARITY:
The river is clear and slowly dropping with water temps averaging around 48 to 49 degrees. We still have high water but is is getting better daily.
WEATHER CONDITIONS:
Pretty much the same weather as last week. No real measurable rain but cold overcast drizzly weather with highs in the low fifties on most days. We sure could use a few days of warm weather.
HOT FLY OF THE WEEK:
We are still using the mouse patterns more than anything else.
HIGHLIGHT OF THE WEEK:
There were a lot of great fish caught this week. Connor Honea guided for us for many years at the Upper Camp, Float Trips and at our Lower Camp. Connor brought a group of his guests this week and guess who comes up with the big trout of the week? Dan took Connor to the Upper River and Connor, not surprisingly, caught a bunch of big trout including his personal best.
QUOTE OF THE WEEK:
Never have I fished and laughed so much while catching trout and salmon. 10/10!! Would do it again!! Tony Nguyen
WILDLIFE SPOTTED:
Man, we have been seeing lots of Moose this year. Lots of bear tracks around but we have not seen any so far.
COMMENTS FOR THE WEEK:
The trout fishing seemed to get better daily this week. Several of our guests fished nothing but mouse patterns all week and had great success! It looks like a banner year for Kings, Chums and Sockeye Salmon! The river is literally filling up with salmon.
