Guide Jacob with Natalie and a nice Rainbow Trout from a small tributary
WATER TEMPERATURE AND CLARITY:
Water temps were in mid 50s at the start of the week and are currently 51F due to a rainy cold front. Clarity is still great at 6-8ft.
WEATHER CONDITIONS:
Again, we have had all four seasons this week with some sunny mornings and cloudy afternoons giving way to cloudy afternoons with a couple cold and rainy days at the end of the week.
HOT FLY OF THE WEEK:
Chartreuse Dali lamas have put up great numbers of Silvers this week and for the trout, it would be a tie between the mouse and the bead.
HIGHLIGHT OF THE WEEK:
Natalie of Washington DC stole success from the jaws defeat after getting skunked on Rainbows the entire week right up until Friday when she caught SEVEN in the first half of the day with Jake!
QUOTE OF THE WEEK:
“The fish don’t know how good your cast was”- Dan Virnich.
WILDLIFE SPOTTED:
We’ve seen otters, beaver, mink, and eve had a bear come through camp this week.
COMMENTS FOR THE WEEK:
Silvers are coming in more heavily every day and the Chums, Humpies, Kings, and Sockeye are actively spawning. Trout and Dolly fishing is great with most being caught on the bead/flesh patterns. Fishing has been GREAT!
