WATER TEMPERATURE AND CLARITY:
Water temperature stayed consistent in the low 50’s with about a foot of visibility.
WEATHER CONDITIONS: Mid 50’s with mostly cloudy days with the occasional rain and slight breeze.
HOT FLY OF THE WEEK:
The hot fly of the week was a Pink Clouser minnow for the salmon and a olive and white dolly llama was working the best for the Rainbows with the low light.
HIGHLIGHT OF THE WEEK:
The highlight of the week would have to be the Dollies are starting to show up and stacking up in impressive numbers early.
WILDLIFE SPOTTED:
No big wildlife spotted although some of the birds we are seeing are truly spectacular to watch such as the Harlequin ducks.
COMMENTS FOR THE WEEK:
Kings where definitely being picky but the Chums are in hot and are a blast to catch. The Sockeye are marching in good numbers and following those Sockeye are the Dolly Varden, they are in the river in plentiful numbers and are already staging and looking for salmon eggs.
