COMMENTS FOR THE WEEK:

With a rising river and great group of no-nonsense anglers this week was all about the salmon fishing for us at the Lower Base Camp. The first couple days were heavily King focused. Several big bright fish were landed every day. As the week progressed, we began targeting Chums in our upper river. A Handful of days the Chum fishing was absolutely lights out. Some of our guests had never fly fished before and chaotic doubles on hard pulling Chums was a great introduction. The Sockeye have begun to march and were looking forward to fishing for them. While we didn’t do much trout fishing this week, we know they are out there waiting for us as soon as the water starts to warm up and clear up. With the fishing really starting to pick up it’s a great time of the year to be on the river.
