Morrish Mouse

HIGHLIGHT OF THE WEEK:

Family Week! Friends and family everywhere from Washington to Ohio got to reconnect for our annual week of fish fueled fun.

QUOTE OF THE WEEK:

“This was my 8th time fishing in Alaska but the best experience I’ve had so far! The guides are top notch and make learning fun, the fishing itself is unbeatable.”

  • Sarah Barber

WILDLIFE SPOTTED:

We are still seeing lots of Bears on the river’s edge. As always, we are seeing lots of birds: Mallards, Teal, Pintails, Widgeon, Harlequins and Geese. We are also seeing all the shore birds along with lots of Eagles, Goshawks, Falcons, Ospreys and Tundra Swans and the Geese are starting to migrate.

COMMENTS FOR THE WEEK:

This week has been yet another installment in what has proven to be a season of absolutely insane Rainbow fishing. The mouse continues to produce consistently all day for fish of all sizes while subsurface options have yielded larger trout for those willing to look. Silvers have started to push up river in earnest and numbers to hand have been going up day by day. Actual Duncan family members and long-time guests from all over the country reunited for their annual rendezvous here at LBC. The fishing was great but the time together, before and after, was even better. We’re looking forward to some rain and fresh water on the horizon for next week!
