Weather:

Though the summer months are Alaska's most temperate, the weather is still volatile and moody. A balmy sun-filled day can change quickly as the wind blows in the clouds and rain. Proper clothing can ensure everyone's comfort and enjoyment. Dress in layers and always bring a raincoat.

7 day weather forecast for Quinhagak,

LOWER BASE CAMP FISHING REPORT
THE WEEK Of AUGUST 22nd to 29th, 2015

WATER TEMPERATURE AND CLARITY:
The river temperature was from 49 to 51 degrees this week. The clarity of the river was great all week and the river dropped around an inch or two.

WEATHER CONDITIONS:
The last week of our season was our worst weather. We pretty much had it all. Rain, cold, cloudy and windy.

HOT FLY OF THE WEEK:
Black & White Dollie

HIGHLIGHT OF THE WEEK:
The Silver’s are really pouring in despite the low water.

QUOTE OF THE WEEK:
Exceptional service, hospitality and world class fishing - Five Stars!! Josh Bushnell, Clovis, CA

WILDLIFE SPOTTED:
As always we are seeing lots of birds: Mallards, Teal, Pintails, Widgeon, Harlequins and Geese. We are also seeing all the shore birds along with lots of Eagles, Goshawks, Falcons, Ospreys and Tundra Swans.

COMMENTS FOR THE WEEK:
We had a great last week to our season, a mixed group of guests that all hit it off and got along great. The Silver’s are pouring in like crazy this week despite the very low water. We have Silver’s stacked everywhere, even laying midstream on the bottom in Chum and King Salmon Beds. The Rainbow fishing has been a little tough this week due to the fact that we have been targeting them all summer. The Dollie fishing was great and they are really starting to get in full spawning colors.

It was hard to beat the Dollie Llama this week for the Silver’s.

The Ladies RULED the camp and Linda will BE BACK!!
